Just finished watching HK drama - 四大少年名埔 on DVD. It is really not bad. Last night, I had asked Lai to lend me the DVD as I had only started to watch it when my family were watching the last few episodes. I like to watch dramas with Raymond Lam (林峰) in it.
Yay.
Took half day leave and went out on Tuesday (23 Dec 08) with Angeline & Ronny. Was way pissed with the both of them. When it was almost 10.30am, I still did not know where and when to meet. Called Angeline and all she was able to tell me was that she was unable to contact Ronny and that she was on the way out to Ang Mo Kio to settle some stuff. In the end, I had to blow up before I can firm up details on where and when to meet. I really hate meeting up with them at times. Why do I always have to be angry and throw a tantrum like that? I hate to do such things, when we are supposed to go out, have fun and spend time together.
If we try to fix up details earlier; some are unable to confirm due to their hectic schedule, while some will bail out on the last minute. If not, it is a last minute rush to confirm details.
I don't know about others, but I cannot tolerate such things. If you want me to wait, tell me how long I have to wait. Not just tell me to wait. I hate waiting indefinitely. If things are like that, either we cancel the whole damn thing or you give me a time and place the day beforehand.
Ugh. Thinking back about the whole thing just makes my blood boil.
Anyway, that day we had lunch at the Miss Clarity Cafe at Thomson Road. It was a delicious lunch. We indulged in desserts of bread and butter pudding with a scoop of chocolate ice-cream (Ronny ordered that), cookies & cream milkshake for both Ronny & I. After lunch, we asked one of the staff to take a few photos of us outside the cafe.
After some hums and haws, we decided to go for a KTV session and settled to go the Kbox at Ang Mo Kio (the newer branch nearer to Jubliee). By the time we got a room, it was around 1550. We had a 4-hour sing session. Ronny & I took up 99.5% of the singing session as Angeline had a sore throat and wasn't familiar with any songs.
We were pleasantly surprised by Ronny's singing prowess. Come to think of it, we had nothing to to be surprised about anyway, for he had joined choir before. I was more surprised about his singing of mandarin songs. Haha. 'Cause he had always been more of an English language type than a Chinese language type.

He started off singing quite a number of Jay Chou's songs, which I must say that he did pretty well; given that Jay Chou's songs aren't easy to sing. As we progressed, we tried to encourage Angeline to sing and surfed through to pick out songs that she may be familiar with. We were successful and she sang a few songs. We were joking that once we got home we will send Angeline all the songs that we have, to get her familiarized with music other than those of Christian genre.

Throughout the session, when Ronny wasn't busy singing, he was busy with the snacks. He picked and selected all those tasty treats that he likes, left the remaining for us and called for the Kbox staff to refill the empty bowls. LOL.
Bad Ronny. Ha, but we are not ones to be trifled with either. We took over his snacks and ate the ones that he wanted (much to his annoyance) while keeping them out of his reach. Ha. I think he pouted a tad? But everything's in good fun.=) We took some photos of each other and I even managed to take a few videos of Ronny singing! (Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!) I think he suspected that I did some thing for he tried to wrestle my camera from me. Anyway, I was victorious!
We sang plenty of songs together, it was really fun and full of light-heartedness. I guess we should do that again!
By the time we left, it was around a quarter past eight. We discussed about where to go for dinner, but before that we went in search for a toilet first. We had delibrated about whether to go for a movie or not, but in the end decided against it as the other two were rather tired. In the end, Ronny drove us from Ang Mo Kio to the HK cafe near my place for dinner.
They ordered porridge while I ordered Nissin noodles with luncheon meat and my usual cup of hot milk tea. We had side orders of "siew mai" and custard buns (my favourites). We settled down to eat and managed to catch the Little Nonyan. We were sort of transfixed by the happenings in the drama and little conversation flowed between us. It was my first time watching it, while Angeline said she watched it if she's at home and Ronny watched it at times.
Ronny and Angeline didn't really like their porridge much, but I love my Nissin noodles. I was unable to finish it though, as I wasn't hungry at all to begin with. I was pretty stuffed after the KTV session, due to eating all those peanuts; so when dinner was over, I was utterly stuffed, filled to the brim and in danger of bursting at the seams.
As we left the place, I some how got hold of Ronny's camera, I think he and Angeline fought over whether we should pay him back for dinner. In the chaos, some how his camera landed in my hands. I demanded to have the cute photo of him looking like a small kid, with his hair all ruffled and mussed from sleep. He said he will send me, but knowing his past record, I refused to believe him and continued to hold his camera as ransom. I tried to weasel my out by saying that his camera wasn't with me but he refused to believe me and continued to try to talk me into surrendering the camera. In the end, when his car came to a stop outside my place, he locked the doors and told me to hand it over.
Haiz................
Gah. I should have made a run for it. Not that I was expecting him to lock the doors when he stopped. Hmm...actually, I was just horsing around. I wouldn't have taken his camera and run back home. It will be pretty rude of me to do that.
Anyway, in the end, I surrendered the camera and extracted a promise out of him to email me the photo that night (not for a moment believing that he will keep that promise).
And true to my expectation, he refused to send me that photo.
Awwwwwwww.....
Heh.
Never mind, I knew it anyway.
I spent Christmas Eve working (no half day for my company) and hung out with Thio and Joling at Jurong Point. Christmas Day was spent at home, lazing about. I slept around 2am and woke up around 1230 on Christmas Day.
It was rather quiet in the office on Friday, with people in holiday mood and some opting to take leave and enjoy a longer break. One of our subcons bought us a chocolate log cake and they ate it during one of their meetings. Miss Goh brought the leftover portion and told me that only my boss and I hadn't eaten. After I cut a slice for myself, I passed the log cake to my boss. In the end, I ended up passing the cake to some of the big bosses too as my boss told me to share it with them. All of the big bosses just cut a slice of the cake for themselves, except for one. He is the 2nd in-charge of the project. He motioned to me to put the cake on his table. Seeing that the box would be in the way, I took out the cake and deliberated whether to cut him a slice or just give him the whole portion. In the end, I decided to give him the whole chunk. It was at least a good 2-slices portion. Oh well. Haha...I was rather nervous for he has the kind of commanding presence, ability to terrify without showing anger.
Friday night was spent playing badminton with Sebastian at Toa Payoh Sports Hall. I asked for help in brushing up my skills, so as to not to be a burden when playing doubles with friends. I learnt some tactics from him and I can't wait to use it the next time I play with the others. I can't wait to knock Samuel off his high horse! Heh. Not that I am expecting or thinking that I will thrash him at badminton, but I am thinking more along the line of sneaking in some shots at him. Deflate his ego a little, you know? He has gotten rather cocky after playing with me last Friday. I have to admit that he totally wiped the floor with me. But that will not always be the case!
Mwahwahwahwa!!
My ankles started hurt a little after we left the sports hall. I had wrenched my left ankle a little while walking on the uneven roads near the sports hall. I was wearing heels and my previous record of a sprained ankle did not help either, but I went on to play badminton as my ankle felt fine. Obviously that wasn't the case after we left.
I wore an ankle support on Saturday and rubbed medicated oil on it at night. Worked late on Saturday (lots of work to clear), had lunch with Joling, Chye Lian, Lai, Samuel and Tan.
