A wonderful hymn.. Don’t you think so?=) My church sang it during Easter Sunday. I love the words in the hymn..very meaningful. Very hard to pick my favourite..But it’d have to be the first three stanzas of the song…=] The 1st two stanzas speak of my desires. The third stanza speaks of Jesus’ love and self-lessness..

Many things happened today…Not so good things…Ya..
Due to my carelessness, 3 shirts were stolen from the stall..I was stunned. I’m not really angry or super upset or anything. I admit that it is due to my carelessness that this happened. I am reminded of two verses, the one above, from Lamentations 3:37 and the following verse.
“Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” – Rom 12:19
I leave into God’s hands, whoever who did this. I choose to let God do what He sees fit. He has seen it all; He knows what happened, the entire process. My God has His own ways. Nothing is out of His control. Things happen because He allows them to happen, not because men can make things happen.

Hmm...What happened today??=)
Well...when I woke up this morning, I received a SMS from Ronny, informing me that there is an order of 6 bags of assorted cookies....Yay......ha...=)
Watched some TV programmes before going out....It was drizzling then..
I went to Ang Mo Kio, to deposit my cheque, change my address and get a replacement card. I spent about 2hrs there..Why??
Well, I asked about POSB's fixed deposit account, as I want to start saving up $$$...the financial consultant talked to me in details about it...blah blah...I won't bore you with the details, most of which I've forgotten anyway...ha...lala....=p
So, from this month onwards, the bank'd be transfering $100 into this account..YaY...I'm thinking of opening an account with one of the banks that has a higher interest rate...Any to suggest?? Please tell me about the requirements...like how much there must be in the account each month..blah..
After all the explanation and paperwork, it was 1500 and raining more heavily now. I walked to McDonald's to have my lunch, praying that I won't slip and splat on the ground. The slippers that my mother bought me were slippery...very..Haiz..Everytime I walked, I kept praying to God to keep me from slipping..Thank God that I didn't fall......hee..=D
I went to AMK Community Library after eating the Double-Cheese Burger Extra Value Meal..*yummy!!!* (My favourite meal..it's really too bad that McDonald's no longer sells Chocolate Milkshake..it is my favourite drink when I was young..)
Oh ya...the library...I went there to study for my exam...Hmmm..in a way, I've got to thank my eldest sister who worked only half day today. If she didn't, I would be at home, idling and wasting time away..because she's only working half day, I had to get out of the house. So, I took the chance to settle the bank stuff, study and buy the ingredients needed for baking. I thank God that there was an avaliable table to study...all the tables were occupied...Thank God that there were 2 girls who were leaving..=) I did my QT before studying...Wrote my thoughts to God and slept for 30mins before reading the Our Daily Bread.
After all that, I started working on my past year exam papers...
It was nearing dinnertime and as I had to go to Sembawang to buy my stuff, I decided to ask people out. I decided to ask Zhen Yang as I believe that all my friends who live in that area had already eaten...Cuz I'd reach Sembawang about 2030...la...
But alas, he couldn't make it...as he's at GCTC...*sob*...
I left the libaray around 2015. On my way, I saw a pair of cats.....Awwwww..........I LOVE CATS!!!! =D Love them very much. There was a black tabby and a white & brown one. The black tabby had tufts of fur missing from his (I think) body...he must have gotten into a fight..I mewed at them. The black tabby came over, rubbing against the legs of my jeans. He closed his eyes in contentment as I rubbed his head and scratched his ears...*so cute!!* As it seemed to me that I've neglected the brown & white cat, I went over to it..The black tabby followed, but the other cat swiped at the black cat...*so bad!!* I wondered if that cat was the reason for the black tabby's mssing tufts of fur...
I stroked the cat, but it was rude to the black cat, attacking it when it came near. Annoyed with the cat's behaviour, I decided to pat the black cat instead....
I was reluctant to leave them, especially if the cat was responsible for the black tabby's injuries, but I had to go to Sembawang before the shop closes.
When I left, I prayed to God to protect the black cat, if indeed the brown & white cat is bullying him.....=)
It's really too bad that I can't have cats in the house...*sobZ sobZ* Ha...when I get married, the first thing I'll do is to get cats...many of them...hee....so my future spouse must let me get them..lala.....=D hmm..Maybe I'll get the whole family, so that they'd not be seperated...=)
Ha..Ronny called as I am updating this entry..He wants to add one more bag...so it'd be 7 bags!! YAY!!!!

As I had nothing better to do (have work at 1600..still a long way to go), I went to Friendster and checked out some friends' profiles and testimonies. I went to their blogs and liverjournals..
To say the least, I was shocked. A person, who appears to be so cheerful and sunny, can have such dark thoughts, colourful language and a jaded view of life.
When I first met this guy, he seemed so cheerful & cute, a nice person. My impression of him was quite good.
But what a surprise I had when I visited his blog!! His thoughts are so different from the way he behaved. But then, the last time I saw him or contacted him was, maybe 2 years ago. He had probably gone through alot...
There was another friend who's like him too. A very sweet girl. I like her alot. Her thoughts are so dark. I've let her down. Ya. Really. As i read her blog, I wondered, could I have made a difference in her life, if I had tried harder back then? If I hadn't gotten scared of the heavy responsiblity and ran away? If I had tried harder to get into her life, could I have prevented her from getting hurt? From becoming the person she's like now? From becoming so cynical?

Sometimes, I wonder, am I a gullible person? Naive?
I know that life's not a bed of roses. Not every smiling person whom I meet, are good people.
But, it is hard to believe that, such a person, a person, with such a nice, friendly, harmless smile can be harbouring a motive or plotting something.
BaH.
I'm stupid huh.
I'm soft-hearted to nice people..Bleah.
Once I'm convinced that the person is a nice guy, even when I hear some not-so-good-things about him/her, I'd still defend the person. In a similiar way, once I set out to dislike a person, nothing others say will change my mind. But then, I'm not so bull-headed till I'd be extremely blind to the person's good points. If the person turns out to be a good guy, I'd change my opinion of him/her.

Just went to the kitchen to get the cookies that my sister baked (Oatmeal Cranberries & Vanilla Chips Cookie...I quite like it..but it tastes a bit funny, I don't know how to explain it..Ronny don't like this cookie..) Whoa!! What a mess!!! That idiot dog had messed it up...

Hmm...I bought some Famous Amos No-Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies, wanted to figure out why does their cookies smell so great... (Greaaatttt............That idiot dog's at it again. Kicking up a ruckus. Or rather, pawing.)
One thing that I’d observed from the cookies, is that it has a flat aftertaste. There is no taste left in my mouth after I finished the cookie. I tried eating a few more and waiting, without drinking water, to taste the result. There really is a flat aftertaste. I am not sure if it's good or bad. It's good that it's not that kind of absolutely nothing kind of flat taste, but a normal one, without leaving your mouth feeling that kind of dry & flat aftertaste. The bad is that, for cookies to be successful, it is good to leave a sweet, lingering aftertaste in the mouth after eating the cookies.
Ha....confused?? Bleah. I am no expert, that is just what I think. I still love Famous Amos' No-Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies very much. Love the way the chocolate chip melts in the mouth....Yumm.........*drools*..
Anime:Full Metal Alchemist. Quite a good anime. But the plot is a bit..how to say, little hard to grasp.
Manga: Naruto. The story's becoming more and more exciting..Ha..I cant wait for Sasuke to appear again, after 2.5 years. Team 7 will come together again soon...Sasuke-kun!! *swoons*
Ha...speaking of swooning, it reminds me of my church's pastor. He's really a humorous guy..=D On Easter Sunday, he spoke in the sermon, citing evidence to prove that Christ really did die and not like what some people had said, that His body was stolen by His disciples. I think the sermon's title was "Did Christ Really Die?"
One of the theories that the world gives is that Jesus had swooned, due to the physical injuries that were inflicted on Him...that He didn't die. This theory is called the "Swooning Theory". My pastor jokingly said that it's not that kind of swooning like ladies have when they see Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise...Ha..=D It may not seem very funny here, but during that time, the church was laughing away...=) He makes sermons very interesting..
Another was that the disciples knocked out the guards and stole the body.
Or the guards fell asleep.
He made several good points to refute those theories.
He pointed out that there was a guard who was executed, when one of the apostles (I'm not sure whom), was released from the prison...Erm..sorry if I got things wrong, I can't remember the details. The penalty for a sleeping during duty was shown in that example. Which guard in his right mind would fall asleep on his duty and live to tell others that he fell asleep guarding Jesus’ tomb??
Another is that, the disciples were physically weaker, than the Roman soldiers. There were a bunch of fishermen...can they overpower and knock out the Roman soldiers??
Plus the fact that, the people who did the crucification, who checked the bodies to determine if they are really dead. These people were veterans. They were good and experienced at crucifying people and determining if they were dead. Do you think they'd do a poor job of it??
Besides, the Bible stated that Jesus' side was pierced. How could anyone have survived that? A pierce that was almost to the heart?
In addition, Jesus’ body was prepared for burial. That means alot of flowers were used... As he jokingly said, the flowers would have killed Him, if the nails didn't..
Remember the 2 thieves, whose legs were broken?? This was done to help quicken the death process. It wasn't done to Jesus because He was already dead.
All these aside, some many, many years have passed, with so many people trying to prove that Jesus is a fake or that He didn't die, to overthrow the truths in the Bible. Did anyone succeed?? Many set out to do that. But they ended their research, convinced that Christ is real. All that's said about Him is real.
So....

Ha....though I am tired & really want to sleep, I got to finish today's entry. I've to work tomorrow, so I'll keep it short, I hope..=)
When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” - Luke 19:37-40
This is why I am writing this entry, even though I'm falling asleep over my laptop & plus the fact that I've work tomorrow. Oh, don't expect a wonderful story, or something..it's something small, but I have to give thanks to God. He is a God of all things, nothing is too big, nor too insignificant to Him.
I was in a lousy mood when I started work today. On the train, I prayed to God to help me find joy in my work, to work for God, not men. I asked Him, to strengthen me, give me the patience, tolerance, the friendliness, the smiles, the capacity to serve the customers, for my resources are running out...
The day started off, not that good, I was falling asleep, even when I am standing! Not that the shop wasn't busy, but I was falling asleep during the times when the stall was quiet. Whenever I couldn't take it anymore, a crowd would descend upon the pushcart and keep me busy. The money keep rolling in.....=) When I saw the figure, I asked God for more....my bosses really put in alot of hard work into the business, doing everything themselves, unto the wee hours of morning.
Ha...thank God for answering the prayer.......=p Not only did God keep me busy & give me rest at the same time, He had increased our sales!!=D
By the end of the day, I realized that God had answered the prayer that I'd prayed on the train! I askd Him to help me find joy in working. At the end of the day, I wasn't in a bad mood anymore, I enjoy my time with the customers.....=]
See.........these may be simple things, but they are life-changing moments....
My God works in all ways, big and small. Thank the Lord for all His ways, for they are good.....

I was at http://www.abt.org, looking at American Ballet Theater's upcoming performances and wishing that I could go and watch too. Hmmm.....work today was okie.........=) Much better than yesterday. I've started to get the hang of things..Getting used to the long queue that was common on weekends when I was working in One.99 Shop. I hadn't had to deal with long queues for about 4 years, so I was quite stressed out last night, by the long line of people. In addition, the shop that I'm now working at is quite small, so the line of people looks more intimidating than the one at One.99 Shop.
Ha..today, though there was a long queue (due to some customers who took their own sweet time in pouring out their coins...bleah.), I wasn't as stressed out or bothered as yesterday.
Oh...I've got to mention something. There was an old man, wheeling his grandson in the pram..The baby boy is SO cute!!!!!!!!! How do I know that the baby is a boy? You may ask...Well, the baby has very boyish features, there is no mistake that he is a boy.......=)
When I saw his grandfather wheeling in the pram, I couldn't help but stare at the baby boy...he's really very adorable!!!! Big sparkling eyes, chubby cheeks, a very cute and boyish face. This boy will grow up to be very cute...=D
The moment they came into the shop, the baby and I stared at each other...I was smiling at him...he's sooooo......... cute...Whenever his grandfather wheeled him within the vicinity of the counter, I'd keep smiling at him, while he'd stare at me. He'd keep staring and turning his head to look at me till his grandfather turns down the aisle and could not be seen anymore.

After I had packed the old man's stuff, he tied the bag to the front of the baby's pram. The baby begun to pat the plastic bag excitedly, expressing joy and curiousity. When his grandfather gave him the receipt that I gave him, the baby began to play with it. He shook the paper, laughing his special baby laugh. With joy, he flung the paper to the ground.
The smile that the gave, was sssooooooooooooo................sweet!!! So endearing!!!=D Such a cute boy!!!!

I wonder what will he grow up to be like?? I hope that he'd be a happy child....
He has a pair of very alert eyes. I like babies more than teenagers....Ha...
Hmm....I'd be sleeping early today.....hopefully.....Ha...As I'm going to wake up early tomorrow to bake cookies...=) Yum....I wanted to try making cheese cookies, but there wasn't any cream cheese to be found in the 7-11 and NTUC that were near my place. I hope I have enough of unsalted butter, I couldn't go and buy as I had to work. Bleah. I hope that a little of salted butter would not spoil the taste of the cookies...
If the cheese cookies are successful, I'd sell them too, but at a higher price as cream cheese is quite expensive...=) Hee....

I find the 2nd stanza very meaningful. We live in the midst of so many people. Not all of us are powerful indivduals, we may be living under the shadow of our siblings or friends. The world's motto is to be the same. If you are different from them, that means that something is wrong with you. So, don't get lost in the crowd...=) Break away from the mould of the world and follow Christ...=D Don't follow blindly. What most of the world is doing, you also follow. Don't. Have a mind for yourself. The majority is not always right.

Whoa….the page took a super long time to load…bleah. Heh.
Today wasn’t a good day.
I cried as I ate my dinner, snivelling and dabbing my nose with a tissue.
Nah…I didn’t get bullied by anyone….Ha..you were thinking that, “It’d be more likely that you bullied someone.” Am I right??? Heh to you!!! Bleah.
Ha…I was “crying” because my food’s too spicy…..hee…..

WaHHH…….was SUPER pissed off at a customer. *Insert vulgarities. Insert more and more* She was buying a shirt for her daughter. The first moment she opened her mouth, I was already hating her guts (alright, not exactly hating, but the tone of her voice & her attitude had raised my hackles).
And she had to go and do it. She had to push me further. Bleah. *Insert vulgarities* She asked me what size do I wear. I told her size M. She gave this disbelieving & incredulous look. I’m going to say it now…What the hell!! What’s with that fucking face??!!! Now she had to further rub it in, to piss me off more. She spoke, “You’re wearing M?? Are you sure??” Though she didn’t say it, she implied that I am lying and should be wearing Large. What the fuck. Instead, she commented that her daughter, who is about my size, is wearing Large. GRRRRRRrrrrrrrr……………I wanted to lunge at her face and beating the crap out of her.
What the fuck, man??!!!!!!!!!!!! I am wearing M!!!!!!!!!!! F*** her. D*** it. Why the hell would I lie about it??!!
Ha…to you people who don’t know me well, would think that I am over-reacting. Those closer to me would know. The hell that I went through in Poly yr 1-2. The teasing I’d from people I called friends, about my appearance. At first, it was all for fun. Later, though it pissed me off & hurts me, I still laughed it off. But the teasing got worse, till there was one day when I couldn’t take it, that I exploded in their faces. I don’t really remember what I said. But, I guess it was an ugly scene. I blew my top and told them off. Told them never to say that I am fat again (because I wasn’t. The weighing machine said so, contrary to their words). From then on, they never teased me again. People who are unwise, would tease me and get their ears boxed in…
Again, you may think I am over-reacting, but for a person like me, with low self-esteem, the teasing was a huge blow. Especially when it came from people whom I thought were friends. It was a double blow. I can take jokes, but not teasing that rip at my self-esteem, making me feel inferior and not when it went on for a year till the day I exploded.
The most hurtful part was that these people are people whom I called friends. You know what that means? Don’t know? Check a dictionary.
That was in the past. But till now, I still won’t and can’t allow people to step on me anymore. I won’t allow them to hurt me with untruthful words. With lies. I was never fat. Not the day I was born, not now, not then. I always had an acceptable weight.
So, perhaps you can understand a little of why I was pissed off at that woman. Now, now, DON’T tell me to relax la…it’s only a comment..or take it easy…You haven’t been through what I did. Even if you went through it, our response would still be different, because we are different people, with different character, upbringing and past.
Done with that distasteful part, let me move on.
There a lady and her husband who bought 3 shirts from me today. They are nice people. They lived in the west coast of the U.S. Her husband is from Hawaii. They are here in S’pore to set up a business. Networking. We chatted for awhile. Ha…they are quite friendly. The lady was surprised when she knew my name. Her bunny is named Hazel…..Ermmm……..haha…….T.T
Bleah.
She said it was a good thing…cuz her bunny’s very cute. She asked for my contact and gave me her name-card. She said that we could meet up and chat….Ha…K k…I was quite taken aback. What would a woman like her want to do with a 21 yr old me?? Ha.
She told me that I was sweet..=) Ha...I know that all of you out there would beg to differ, right??

She and her husband told me to read a book entitled, “The New Singapore Dream”. They said that it’s a very good book. Hmm..I’ll consider it…Ha..Because I searched for that book online and found that he spoke publicly without a permit and would rather go to jail than pay the fine. He insisted that paying the fines would "legitimize the law which denied me ...” Ha…weird…Don’t want to judge him, so I’d go to Kinokuniya and have a look at the book first….
On the whole, today was quite quiet. I think it’s because school has re-opened, so no more pesky teenagers going through your stuff, messing them up and leaving. But that means less sales too….and no commission for me…..SobZ………Oh well, pros and cons.

I blew my top and told them off. Told them never to say that I am fat again (because I wasn’t. The weighing machine said so, contrary to their words). From then on, they never teased me again. People who are unwise, would tease me and get their ears boxed in…
Again, you may think I am over-reacting, but for a person like me, with low self-esteem, the teasing was a huge blow. Especially when it came from people whom I thought were friends. It was a double blow. I can take jokes, but not teasing that rip at my self-esteem, making me feel inferior and not when it went on for a year till the day I exploded.
The most hurtful part was that these people are people whom I called friends. You know what that means? Don’t know? Check a dictionary.
That was in the past. But till now, I still won’t and can’t allow people to step on me anymore. I won’t allow them to hurt me with untruthful words. With lies. I was never fat. Not the day I was born, not now, not then. I always had an acceptable weight.
So, perhaps you can understand a little of why I was pissed off at that woman. Now, now, DON’T tell me to relax la…it’s only a comment..or take it easy…You haven’t been through what I did. Even if you went through it, our response would still be different, because we are different people, with different character, upbringing and past.
Done with that distasteful part, let me move on.
There a lady and her husband who bought 3 shirts from me today. They are nice people. They lived in the west coast of the U.S. Her husband is from Hawaii. They are here in S’pore to set up a business. Networking. We chatted for awhile. Ha…they are quite friendly. The lady was surprised when she knew my name. Her bunny is named Hazel…..Ermmm……..haha…….T.T
Bleah.
She said it was a good thing…cuz her bunny’s very cute. She asked for my contact and gave me her name-card. She said that we could meet up and chat….Ha…K k…I was quite taken aback. What would a woman like her want to do with a 21 yr old me?? Ha.
She told me that I was sweet..=) Ha...I know that all of you out there would beg to differ, right??
Heh.
She and her husband told me to read a book entitled, “The New Singapore Dream”. They said that it’s a very good book. Hmm..I’ll consider it…Ha..Because I searched for that book online and found that he spoke publicly without a permit and would rather go to jail than pay the fine. He insisted that paying the fines would "legitimize the law which denied me ...” Ha…weird…Don’t want to judge him, so I’d go to Kinokuniya and have a look at the book first….
On the whole, today was quite quiet. I think it’s because school has re-opened, so no more pesky teenagers going through your stuff, messing them up and leaving. But that means less sales too….and no commission for me…..SobZ………Oh well, pros and cons.

Today, there were quite a number of customers with an attitude. Man, they talked to me with a tone that positively raised my hackles. I tried my best not to be rude, but do fail at times…
Hmmm……..I hope the lady would not contact me so soon, I’ve got to study and prepare for exam…

Angeline and her friend came to visit me at work on friday...ha..I passed her some of the cookies that I had made on wed & thurs. As I was the only one manning the stall and that I'm too busy to buy dinner, I requested that she help me buy. Ha....She really knows my likes and dislikes very well. I love the food that she had chose for me....simply yummy....Hee....Like spicy stuff...=D
She even bought a Cheese Japanese Pancake and a block of Hazel Nut chocolate.. The pancake's filling is thick and creamy....*drools*. Heh. I love chocolate...but she bought for me a block of Hazel Nut chocolate. Rings any bell?? Bleah. Ha...Andrew always like to call me by that name.

Ha..see how subtle Angeline can be at "suaning" people?? HaiZ.
Quite alot of things happened at work these 2 days. Ha...one thing for sure, I will be coming out of this job, more patient and tolerant. There were some annoying people, who would ask some questions, mess up the clothes that I'd just folded nicely and walk away. Yet some others would request to see many types of clothes, then put them aside, crowd around the table & blocking other customers who were trying to see. Though they were an annoyance, at least they bought more stuff. Unlike a customer, who after asking me to dig out almost all of the ladies wear, left without buying anything. And I had to deal with the mess that she created.
All these put me in a not-so-good-mood. I know, it is my job to serve customers and carry out their requests, most people are okie, but there were a few who were intolerable. They really stretched my patience, temper and tolerance levels to the utmost limit. Regardless of all these, I try my best not to show a "black" face or speak in an impatient tone. I try my best. But there were times when these undesirable traits peeked through. Kept asking for God to help me and give me the strength.
Boo Hoo Hoo!!!! I wanna sleep!!! I have work tomorrow, full day. I may be working half day on tues too. Then working on wed and thurs evening - 1700 to 2200, at the place near my house.
Ha....Can't wait to hear from Ronny about how the sales of the cookies went. Quite nervous. Ya. Also worried that the people may not like the cookies. What ifthey think that the cookies are lousy???? Ha...I know that Angeline, Ronny, Andrew, Timothy and Angela had given the cookies the stamp of approval. But the cookies that they ate were of a different batch. What if the newly-made batch was lousy??
Ha....I'm quite an insecure person....You see.
Went for 1130am service after passing Ronny the cookies. Thank God I didn't fall asleep during the sermon. Today is Palm Sunday...pardon my ignorance...what is Palm Sunday??? Would have like to enjoy worshipping God fully, but was distracted. So I prayed to God to take away these distractions...Hmmm...I always can't seem to worship God whole-heartedly. The words in the songs are beautifully written and full of meaning. But there are some parts where I can't bring myself to sing. For example: "Say the word and I will sing for You. Over oceans deep I will follow." I don't dare to say that I'd always obey what the Lord asks of me. A person I knew said this, "Christians don't tell lies. They sing it in church." Hard to take?? Examine your hearts, when you sing worship songs, do you sing it because the song's nice? Or because everyone's singing it, so you follow? Or do you truly mean it?? Do you, after singing these songs of promise, of declaration, walk out of church, forgetting what you had just sang??
After church, I called up Sebastian to meet for lunch, he didn't pick up the phone, so I called Priscilla, who was on the way home after church. We met at Sun Plaza and ate at Delifrance.
I wanted to go to the library, get some quality time sleeping, then do QT and study. To my dismay, Sembawang Community library has no study tables!!! ArrggghhHHH.............

She suggested that I study at Mcdonald's, but it seemed a bit bad to occupy their table, not for eating, but to study. I went to This Fashion and browsed through some clothes, but didn't see anything I like. I left for the library, intending to get a good book. Ha...haven't read a book in ages....Thank God that there were empty seats.....=p After picking 3 books, I settled down to read. It was about 1500 then. After reading for 2.5hrs, I couldn't take it anymore...Really want to drop down and go ZZZzzzzzzzzzzZ............
I returned the books and left for home. And updated my blog..ha..

The books that I read today were disappointing.....SobZz....It gets harder to find good books as one gets older. When I was young, there was a set of recommended books, eg: Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew, Christopher Pike, R.L. Stine, Sweet Valley, Buffy, Hardy Boys, other adventure, mystery and romance books.......but now....Ha..I don't know what kind of books are good...Provides good English...
Any recommendations???=)

Ha...I started on my 2nd job this morning, at 745am. It's very near my house, just cross the street and I'd be there.....hee..=P
Did cashiering...there are some interesting customers...
There was a pair of brothers, one's eight, while the other's going to be 3 yrs old soon...Cute pair of boys...The elder tried clambering up the counter and the younger one would follow suit too..
It's a refreshing change to mix with such innocent and childish (in a good way)children...too long, have I spent my time around people, who are calculating. Let's face it, grown-ups, though there are good people, they still do things with motives and are calculating. When we grow up, we never maintain the childish innocence that we had when young. These kids are that refreshing wind of innocence blown into my day.
Some customers who frequent that place often, knew that I was new, so they'd talk and ask if I was waiting for O'Level results. There was one not-so-nice guy, ya...a bit weird...duh.
My colleagues were okie. There was a guy, called Michael, he's a Christian, I think, because the Team Leader said he didn't want to work on Good Friday, that he had to go to church. So I assumed he's a Christian..ya..
The Team Leader - Jo, with a balding head, had his hair tied back into a ponytail. He's quite an interesting guy. He refused to answer when spoken to in Mandarin. He said that almost all people are educated in English, he don't see it a point to speak Mandarin to the person, when that person knows how to speak English. It is not like the person don't know how to speak English. He added that, if the person is from China, or really do not know how to speak English, he'd of course speak in Mandarin. But other than that, he did not see it necessary to speak in Mandarin.
Ha...weird logic..I don't know how to answer to that. Duh.
Today was a little boring, if not for those boys and some customers and Jo, my 4hrs there ould have been terrible. Bleah. I was already doing the countdown, after one hour on the job. There wasn't much to do..Screwed up a couple of times...There are pros and cons having a relaxing job like that. Good is that you can relax, do nothing much, then collect your pay. The bad is that, with nothing to do, the time passes really slowly. Ya..
Ha..I'll do my best...=)
But I am beginning to wonder if I can handle 2 jobs and study at the same time. I was totally wiped out after work today, dozed off in the bus. But thank God, I woke up right before the Dover bus stop. Ha...I don't know why, I always wake up around that bus stop whenever I fall sleep in the bus..Must thank God...hee.....=)
I tried sleeping early yesterday, at 2300, but couldn't sleep..Haiz...Woke up at 0715 this morning to prepare for work. Was quite tired and sleepy in class today, though I didn't sleep, I couldn't concentrate much. Haiz..
Hope I can hang on, as exams are round the corner. but, in a way, it's sort of a relief..Ya..that means I can concentrate on working. And my goal in 3yrs time. Yup. Ha...Though I may still reach my goal (depending on God's leading), I may change it a little. It all depends on what happens in the future. YuP. Ha.
Made some cornflake cookies today. Not bad, quite fragrant, but a little too dry. Hmm..Will work on it.
Surfing the Net is getting more and more boring nowadays...SianZ.......

Cab drivers must like coming to my house...Why?? Ha...I saw many cabs as I walked home just now. Probably the NS men booking in and my neighbours coming home....
Ha...Alot of things happened today. Let me type what I can remember..
There was this kid who used his hand to whack the 'Enter' of the cashier, I wanted to use my hand to whack him too. Bleah. Self-control..Haiz..Annoyed me..
My patience and self-control was stretched thin as the day progressed. Felt very overwhelmed, as I was alone manning the pushcart. I am supposed to do it alone...ya..part of my job...The crowd of people is scary.
There was a lady, who asked, of the many people who bought those Christian shirts, how many truly understand its meaning? I have to agree with her. Oone of our shirts have the slogan: One Day My Prince Will Come. Of course, we meant Jesus Christ, our Prince, but many girls will go ga-ga over this "romantic" idea of a prince coming to them.
All of our shirts are really innovative, witty, without being too Christian-ish, but there's definitely a Bible verse behind the design of every shirt. Ha..I am not doing promotion because I work there, but the stuff's really creative. No joke, man.
A man wanted to buy the cap, but when he saw the strap behind, he didn't want to, said it'd spoil easily. The strap of the cap is like those kind we have on our caps, you should know la...Typical caps...
So he bought another shirt, saying that he's buying because he felt bad for wasting my time (the cap).
Around 2100, there was a couple of guys, from their haircuts, I think they are NS men, most probably from JC, because they still have the school boy looks, no offense meant...Ha, the guy whom I served, he's an Alvin type, tall, lanky, glasses, hair and all...Ha..Sorry Alvin...=D I am not poking fun at you...I'm serious..
He's quite okie...bought a shirt, as we don't accept NETS, he went to withdraw money. When he came back, I was already starting to close shop. He looked around some more while I packed the stuff. When he was done, he paid for his stuff and we chatted for awhile before he left.
I am glad to work in this place, though it's tiring, with long hours and having to handle difficult people, infrequent breaks to the toilet & there wasn't much time for meals..
I enjoy listening to worship songs and sing along, praising God while working, depending on God during trying situations and interacting with both believers and pre-believers.
One thing that may suffer is my QT, I have to get up around 9am to prepare for work, when I get home, I'd be to tired to do QT. The next morning, I'd be too tired and sleepy to wake up early. Working here takes up much energy...But, I'd do my best not to compromse my QT..I'd either wake up early or do my QT on the train, as I did today...=)

How cruel, you may say. But, I can't complete setting up the stall if the chair and the metal railing's attached together with the plastic strip..bleah...

Learnt alot of things..=) I believe that at the end of this job, I'd become a different person, not only in terms of sales techniques, but also in social skills. I'll become more confident, bold in approaching people, "thick-skinned" (not really la..but in the sense of not being easily disappointed by setbacks), extrovet and the list goes on....=p

It was a busy day, with not much time for a breather before a group of people descends upon the pushcart, with murderous buying intent..(Joking la..but nevertheless, having a big group come upon you, one person, is scary & overwhelming)..My boss brought a radio down and played Hillsongs. It was really a different feeling, with musci playing. Really good..=)
No time for dinner, thank God, my boss bought me bread before she left, if not, I'd be fainting by the time 10pm rolls around. But, there wasn't much chance for me to eat my bread too..duh. Later at night, my boss' husband bought for me soya bean milk and the snack from Jollibean..Yay..=)

Made some oatmeal and raisins cookies today and passed some to Jimmy...
After some advice from my 2nd sister, the 2nd batch turned out to be quite good...Both batches are crispy, but the 1st batch was too sweet..Ya..
Ha..I'm not in the mood to post much today, probably to the relief of some...eh?? Bleah. This is my blog...I can write however much I want...heh..so there.
The joy that I had when my cookies went successfully was gone now...I've a sense of impending doom..There's a dark rain cloud over my head, ready to rain on me and zap me with lighting any moment.....I'm not imagining it..I know that this matter would come, sooner or later...Haiz...I'm on tenterhooks everyday, waiting for it to happen and breathing a sigh of relief hen it hasn't, for the moment...
Duh.....
Oh ya..I cut my hair today, at Causeway Point..Not bad, ya..
Share with you some Bible verses that I read this morning...Jer 17:14 struck me the most. "Heal me, oh Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved...." God is this powerful. He has the power and ability to do all this...and more...It's so simple...He can do it. No fancy magic or frills in between, just the power and ability to do so. So amazing...

Whoo Hoo!!!!=D Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies by yours truly are now out!! Extreme rare edition! Only avaliable to a those who live near me....haha....(cuz I'm too lazy to travel out..ya see..=p).......lala...
I've just passed some cookies to Jimmy...cuz his camp is right beside my house...
Hmm...I've baked 2 batches of cookies today...Went to the NTUC in Sun Plaza and the baking equipment shop in the MRT station to buy my stuff.....
The 1st batch was different from the 2nd, in terms of size and texture.
I've found out that by using baking soda, the cookies will expand when spread out when baking. When I used baking powder, the cookies did not expand much.
The 2 recipes that I got from the Internet, http://allrecipes.com/, were quite simliar, except that one used baking soda, the other used baking powder and it didn't have cocoa powder inside....(but I added cocoa powder anyway. What's a chocolate chip cookie, if you don't overload on chocolate...right?? =P)...
While the 1st batch's cookies were chewy, the 2nd batch's cookies were crispy...I love crispy cookies!! But it was too bad that the 2nd batch was a little on the burnt side..so some were a bit hard...Ha..but never mind!! I'll try harder next time...which is probably tomorrow or wednesday...
On the overall, the cookies are not bad if I may say so myself...=D I am quite delighted with the results as this was my first time baking anything...Yup!! =)
I've saved some for my 3rd sister to eat tomorrow night (as she's not coming home tonight) and for Mei Hu too, as we are meeting tomorrow for breakfast..He's in Nee Soon Camp for the day, will be booking out tomorrow morning...Thus, the breakfast..=D
So far, I am in quite a good mood, in deep contrast with yesterday evening. Those who were on MSN yesterday night would know...as my nick was "Do NOT talk to me."..so no one talked to me except for Ronny and later, Hansheng..Ha..
Ronny msged me saying, "I want to talk to you..." Ha...
So we talked ya... I'm not going to share what put me in a lousy mood..
Anyway, we talked...and some of the things he said struck me hard.."God is only a prayer away."
How true that was!! It was the simple truth. Yet, it struck me very hard. Yes, God is only a prayer away. Only a prayer away. Only that. But, how long was it since I'd sincerely prayed to Him?? Very long ago.
From personal experience, I've realized that, we must all the more cling to God when we are lost or confused or experiencing problems or in pain. Because, if you don't do that, you'd feel even more miserable and confused. The situation never gets better when you get away from God. I know this, yet from late December till this morning, I was running away from Him, in every way that I know of. Though, it was fun, doing anything I like, with a devil-may-care attitude, but all these things, never closed up the widening hole that I have inside of me.
After the talk with Ronny, I came away realizing that my future may not be so bleak and hopeless after all. I can strive for what I want and may be able to get it too. I was very lost these past few months, not knowing what to do with my life, not having any goals at all, feeling utterly useless. But as we talked, a small hope began to grow in me, yes...I can realized part of my dream, that was destroyed the day I entered into poly..
Though, I have to keep in mind that what I want, may not be what God wants for me. As, God only wants the best for us all. I did ask myself, what if, at the end of 3yrs, I found out that I can't fulfill my dream? There are a few deciding factors that will affect the outcome of my dream. The control is out of my hands. I can only pray to God and ask that if it is His will for me, to bless this dream, to open doors. If it is not meant to be, then I'll let it be. True, it will be hard and painful, giving up on your dream, but it's nothing compared to living in misery because I ignored God's guidance and obstinately insist on doing what I want. My Lord, the God, knows what is the best for me, He knows me inside out, the obstacles that are ahead of me, He knows better than I do, what it is that I really want, what it is that is really good for me, and not what I think is good for me.
If, in the end, my dream is not meant to be, I believe that He'd give me something better. What He takes away, He gives something better in return. Till the day that I know whether this dream can be fulfilled, I must hold on to God and not let go...not that when I know the outcome, then I'll forsake God...but, it is at this important time of my life, this major crossroad, I need to hold on to God and seek His way...
I am no longer living aimlessly, I have a goal, that may be accomplished, in 3yrs time. For this, I must depend on God, all the deciding factors are in God's control. I am not good enough to accomplish this goal by myself, only God can help me. He is the one. This will be a test of perserverance, determination and trust.

It is very hard.
But, I am not doing it alone.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
I am young and because I almost always fall away from God, I am growing quite slowly in spiritual maturity..
It is a long journey, at the rate I am going, it will take me a lifetime to grow in the Lord. So, I will follow Christ, for my whole life. No matter how frequently I fall away, or how far I strayed, I will follow Christ. Because there is no other way. I've chosen Jesus Christ, almost 4 yrs ago. I will not turn back. There is no other way, except the way to Jesus.

Hmmm..today's another Sunday..
So it was the usual..vacuum and clean the house..then go online..bleah..
But this Sunday was a little different from the others...How??
Wait...
I want to update on yesterday...ha..
Yesterday, after Small Group, some of us went to the 5pm service. We were late..OppZ...Ha..
Anyway, service was pretty much the same, except that there were tambourine dancers...=D And there was an Infant Baptisim. It was my first time seeing infant baptisim. The only baptisim I've seen, was when Hanwen was baptised, some years ago.
After that we went for dinner at Novena. I was planning to go home for dinner, but a call home changed my mind. My mom's at it again. Thus, I decided to go to AMK or Sembawang to have dinner. But, after a while, I changed my mind and joined my SG for dinner...since I wasn't in any hurry to get home, so I don't mind going anywhere. We ate chicken rice, plus vegetables and dumplings...=) A couple in the SG are getting engaged soon!! Congrats!=p
At around 2045, I think, we went our separate ways.

For today, I finished off the rest of the Naruto RPG and fiddled around with the side-quests for awhile, but I can't seem to be able to get Naruto's Rasegan (is that how you spell it?? Nvrm. Too lazy to go and check..so just turn a blind eye, if it's the wrong spelling, alright??=p). Got quite frustrated, so I went to check out the rest of Naruto's games...
Three words..........They all suck.

They'd been to the career fair and sign me up for "I-don't-know-what."...*insert vulgarities* Yes, I know they are concerned..all that f***...but they just can't leave me alone huh?? It hasn't even occured to them to ask what I want to do with my life?? What kind of job do I want?? They just keep forcing things upon me, one after another.

There it is...my day's officially spoilt..in the dumps..
I'm in a terrible mood now.
Damn it.
So it was the usual..vacuum and clean the house..then go online..bleah..
But this Sunday was a little different from the others...How??

I want to update on yesterday...ha..
Yesterday, after Small Group, some of us went to the 5pm service. We were late..OppZ...Ha..
Anyway, service was pretty much the same, except that there were tambourine dancers...=D And there was an Infant Baptisim. It was my first time seeing infant baptisim. The only baptisim I've seen, was when Hanwen was baptised, some years ago.
After that we went for dinner at Novena. I was planning to go home for dinner, but a call home changed my mind. My mom's at it again. Thus, I decided to go to AMK or Sembawang to have dinner. But, after a while, I changed my mind and joined my SG for dinner...since I wasn't in any hurry to get home, so I don't mind going anywhere. We ate chicken rice, plus vegetables and dumplings...=) A couple in the SG are getting engaged soon!! Congrats!=p
At around 2045, I think, we went our separate ways.

For today, I finished off the rest of the Naruto RPG and fiddled around with the side-quests for awhile, but I can't seem to be able to get Naruto's Rasegan (is that how you spell it?? Nvrm. Too lazy to go and check..so just turn a blind eye, if it's the wrong spelling, alright??=p). Got quite frustrated, so I went to check out the rest of Naruto's games...
Three words..........They all suck.

Ha..."Frustrated" eh...not the best mood to have at the start of the day, but that's how I m feeling right now..plus the fact that I am super mad and ready to "kill" someone..I try not to "kill" innocent bystanders.I really try..There are only a few friends whom I won't "kill", no matter how pissed off I may be..a rare few..Duh.
Haiz...What a lousy start to the weekend.
First, the dog was barking very loudly at something or someone..blah.. Then my mom came into the room and talked very loudly to my sister about some things..before going out of the room, she ripped at me...to look for jobs..Blah.
Then, because of everyone's loud voices, I can't sleep, and it is only 8.45 am.I slept at 2am in the morning...Added up, all these does not equate to a very happy girl today.
I am really mad and frustrated..When I don't have a job, my mom keeps pestering me to get one..There was this time, after I came home from a week-long camp (Meta 04) and fell quite sick for a long time, with all the works..fever, sore throat, cough..blah blah..
Know what??
Even during this period, she didn't let up. She'd call from her workplace, everyday, yes, I am not exaggerating, everyday. To shout at me over the phone to get a job...and rant some not very nice words.
It was a really very tough period for me, both physically, emotionally and spiritually. I started to think weird things..Ya..
i really can't take the emotional abuse everyday, plus I wasn't well at that time.
Now, tat God has blessed me with a part time job, my mom still rants at me..nagging at me over the phone, when she's at home, before she goes to work, to get a job. I got a job!!! I haven't even started on it and she's telling me to look for others!! She said that this is only a temporary one for me, I shouldn't waste my time on it...Bah!!! I mean, this is ridiculous!! As she wanted I've gotten a job (she even told me to just get any job first), now before I've even started on the job, she's telling me to look for another job and ditch this job! How unreasonable can she get?!!
This is really ridulculous!
True..this job is only a part-time, and to her, it may seem lowly, to be working there when I've got a diploma, but still.........AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........
Oh ya, I am telling you now, if you are going to comment on this and say something like she's doing this for my good, don't be mad or be tolerant, other things along this line, I am telling you now, please don't comment. I am going to be very pissed off if you do, because you are not in my shoes, and in my current situation, I really do not need more..please understand..Thanks.

I was quite anticipating my Small Group's Bible Study today...but now, with all these I feel quite down...plus th fact that I was planning to go swimming to work off some of the frustration, but the laundry man haven't arrived with my sister's clothes, so I can't go..Haiz..any later and the sun will get stronger...Can't afford to get too dark..because I've a naturally "black" face, which gets worst when I get mad, if I got darker.....I'd look angry even when I am not...Haiz..
My friends in sec school thought that I was always in a bad mood, because, when I don't smile, my face looks angry..Haiz.
Should I go for a haircut? I don't know why, but my hair are dropping in an alarming rate, more than 60 per day...Not exaggerating..Everytime after my shower, the draining hole would be choked full of my hair..Really scary..When I dry it, combing it with my fingers, chunks would come out..You have to see it to believe it.
Really worried that I'd not have enough hair soon...bald patches would be showing if this keeps up. I so do not want that.

So...I am thinking that, perhaps a haircut may help..Should I cut it all short? Or at shoulder length?

I'm a first timer at baking...hee..Does that makes you feel un-assured?? Hee..Don't worry la..It'd be of certain standard if I am going to present my cookies to people..I am a chocolate chip cookies lover, so I've a pretty high standard..=) The BEST chocolate chip cookies, Famous Amos wins hands down..but their packaged cookies (found in supermarkets) are not good..The packaged cookies that I like are Chipsmore and.......I forgot the other brand..OppZ..It's blue in packaging..a blue box..With red and white letters..I think..
Chipsmore cookies are crispy and have more chocolate chips. The other brand has softer cookies..however, it is good to dunk it into milk and eat....Ah...absolutely wonderful..=)

Ha..do you find anything different in my blog??=] Well, thanks to Sebastian, my blog now has music!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! So happy!!!!!! haha..=D You may think that it is a very small thing, but to me, it's not..=p Ha..I've also managed to add the chatterbox all by myself!!!!!!! Ah..I'm so proud of myself..heehee...Cuz, I'm not really good with computers, so this is a great accomplishment..Yep!
My blog's music is from Final Fantasy VIII, Eyes On Me, sang by Faye Wong. Heard it when I listened to one of the anime radio stations, online..so I downloaded to song..hee....
La...today, well, is a blessed day..=) How to say? Well, read on!!=) La.
I went for a job interview, somewhere near my house, after that, I'm supposed to go to SP, as I've a make-up online quiz..ya..At 1pm..
But, after the interview, it was raining cats and dogs....(haven't heard this expression in a looonngg time...ha), I was stuck outside, with no umbrella and shoes that were about to give way on me any second (my shoes were spoilt, so I was wearing my 3rd sister'sones..but they were kinda spoilt too...ArrggH..)...And I'll be late for my quiz...if I don't get a cab soon..
I had a problem..alright, more than one..My sister's-cannot-make-it-shoes. The rain. And the I'll-be-late-for-quiz. I can't run to the nearby bus-stop as I wasn't sure if the shoes could take it, plus it was slippery....I so do not want to splat on the ground...as my sister had warned me that they were kind of not good for running in the rain..ya..
I was panicking, I want to go back home to change my shoes, but I can't get out, I want to flag a cab, but I can't get out either...Grrrr........

Anyway, I called my 3rd sister who was at home then, to ask if she could come down with an umbrella and fetch me to the bus stop...But she said she can't..She had just finished bathing, wanted me to wait for half an hour....I was like instantly........GGRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......I am stuck with a pair of cannot-make-it-shoes and would be late for quiz and you are telling me to wait while you choose what to wear and comb your hair and everything??!!!!!!!!!!
I pondered whether to ask Jimmy for help, but decided not to, as he was working...even if that time was his lunch hour, it was not nice to just drag him out to lend me an umbrella...Besides, I don't want to take advantage of his willingness to help a friend...Ha..Owe him too much liao..
So, in the end, I decided to call a cab, after calling different companies for a few times, did I get through to TIBS....I waited for almost 10mins to be told that I've got to wait for another 10mins for the cab to arrive...I cancelled the booking..I can't wait that long...It'd be 1245pm by then..
By God's grace, the rain lessened then, I grabbed the chance to quickly walk to the bus stop and waited for a cab...Not long after I reached the bus stop, it began to pour again..Phew!!! Thank God!! Amazing, is it not??=)
About 5 minutes later, a Mercs cab came by, so I flagged it down..=) YAY!!
But, wait, the story does not end here..=]
I asked the driver how long would it take for me to reach Dover, he said around 20 mins, depending on the traffic and th rain. It was good, as I'd only be about 10-15mins late...
Later, as we were approaching SP, there was no rain there. The driver said that I was lucky, that means, I'd reach SP faster.........HURRAY!!!!!!!
So, in the end, I reached my class, about 5-8mins late!!=] Ha..And I was only charged 10 bucks..=] Normally, the trip from my house to SP, would be around 12 bucks or so..but today it was $10.60..the driver told me to forget about the coins, just give him the red ten dollar note...Ha..nice guy..=)
Whats more...I think, my lab partner and I aced our lab case-study...haha...=) My lab partner asked our tutorial lecturer if the calculations that I've done were correct, he said yes..YAY!!!!
When we handed in our report, the lab lecturer said that, based on the outlook of the report alone, we deserved 90 marks..WHOOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=D YAY!!
And, I think, I did pretty well for my make-up online quiz..=) haha
And, my sister's shoes held up all the way till I reached home..at around 2215..hee...It held together for the whole day!!=P
After class, I waited for Angela to eat dinner and go home together..She lives in Yishun..While waiting for her, I met Stephanie and talked for some time...She told me that they found my comics (manga)....Ha..I didn't even know that they were there!! I thought I've all of my manga with me! I could have sworn that I have the whole set at home! And those manga were quite yellowed and a little soft at the edges...My manga weren't that old and ill-kept. Oh well..I could always bring them back if they weren't mine..
That reminds me....To check my manga..

Joel, Angela and I left school about 1840, for Causeway Point, while Joel went to church..
We talked alot..Ya...Quite hapy to see her again..after almost 3 months..
It was around peak hour when we left...the time when the MRT trains are bursting at the doors...
We couldn't get on 3 trains....Was a bit upset....because my stomach's growling pitifully...making weird noises....I didn't eat since yesterday's dinner...T.T
Thank God that we managed to squeeze onto the fourth train..Yip!!=)
After eating, we headed for home..Angela asked about the RPG Ahriman's Prophecy..I was crazy over the game at one time...and she had downloaded it to play, bu there were some things that she couldn't understand, so I promised to send her the walkthrough when I reached home...Ya..Ha..I remember that time I sent Zhen Yang another RPG like this...Ya..
Ha...You may think that I'm crazy to be crazy over games...but to one who has heard about so many exciting games, how fun they were, but never had a chance to play any till 1 yr ago, I suppose it is not crazy, ne??=)
Ah...quite tired....Spent my alot of energy to walk carefully in the shoes and also to control the volume of the heels..Ya..Haiz..My sister's heels are really loud.
